The Wildwood Fishers welcomed the Ypsi Yard Cats to an night game at Carp Coliseum.

Scott Smith never let Ypsi get something going. The Wildwood right-hander commanded his splitter in pitching the Fishers to a 3-0 win. The Yard Cats fall to 10-15 and continue their uneven start to the 2071 season.

Smith, who dominated for Wildwood, earned the victory to move to 2-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 8.2 innings, while striking out 4. Ypsi batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Scott was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Wildwood manager Scott Smith.
