The B.C. Brawlers picked up a win at The Lab, knocking off the Wildwood Fishers, 5-3. On the mound for B.C. was right-hander Robert Gilbert. He played a key role in the triumph. The save went to Pete Reynolds, number 5 for him. B.C. is now 10-10.

The Fishers had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Brawlers going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the two-time Crash Davis Award winner PA Blaylock came to the plate. Blaylock hit a run-scoring double on a 0-1 cutter from Wildwood hurler Vince Jacobs. It was Blaylock's 7th double of the year.

"We were the better team," crowed Blaylock.
