Sean Bigelow, who led the TTWB in ERA with 2.89 in 2059, was locked in. The right-hander led the Ypsi Yard Cats to a 5-3 win against the Motown Hitmakers at The Animal Shelter. Bigelow yielded 3 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-2. The setback makes the Hitmakers 7-13.

Joel Milman had a big solo home run for the Yard Cats in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Ypsi leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he got a slider from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Woodrow Preston and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Yard Cats ahead, 3-1.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Milman told the Ypsi Gazette. "But we take nothing for granted."
