Mud Hens Drop 4-0 Decision to Indians
|
Pitcher Ernest Nance was sensational for the Indianapolis Indians in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens. Nance earned the win. Earning his 1st save for Indianapolis was Will Neely. Indianapolis sits at 8-7.
The Indians got a big at-bat from first baseman John Ritchie. For the game, Ritchie went 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Indianapolis a 1-0 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Great Black Swamp skipper Casimir Koralewski, "and it cost us."
