Behind an impressive start by Aaron Clay, Ypsi beat B.C., 3-2. The win was credited to 25-year old left-handed pitcher Will Carter in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Shoichi Saito took the loss. Earning his 6th save for Ypsi was Billy Wagner.

The Yard Cats got a big at-bat from designated hitter Austin Weston. For the game, Weston was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Ypsi a 3-2 lead.

"Aaron throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Ypsi manager Patrick Holt.

The Brawlers fall to 5-8 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2070 season.
