The Newcastle House of Brews spoiled a good performance by Letterkenny shortstop Manny Lugo, bumping off Letterkenny, 5-4, at Letterkenny Memorial Ballpark. Lugo was 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. Jim Love picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Juan Serrano suffered the loss. The win gives the House of Brews a record of 6-3.

The House of Brews got a big at-bat from shortstop Pat Gimínez. For the game, Gimínez went 1-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Newcastle a 2-0 lead.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Letterkenny manager Matt Philpott.
