The Ludington LumberJacks wanted a good start from Billy Jones -- and he delivered one. The result was a 3-2 Ludington win over the Iowa City Stalkers at Hayden Fry Field. Jones yielded 1 run over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-0. Cole Harvey earned the save for Ludington, his 3rd of the year.
Justin Mullins, who finished 5th in the TTWB in hits with 172 in 2065, had a direct impact on the outcome. Mullins contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Ludington up, 3-0.
