Dykstra Swings House of Brews to 9-4 Win

The Newcastle House of Brews defeated the Reykjavik Phoenix, 9-4, at Brewhouse. Lenny Dykstra produced 2 singles and 2 doubles, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 1. Reliever Jim Love picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Paul Davis took the loss. Reykjavik, with the loss, is still a stout 4-1.
In the bottom of the third, Newcastle third baseman Sherman Spivey had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Spivey stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 5-0, Newcastle. For the game, he went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Spivey told the Newcastle Herald.
