Hitmakers Resilient in 3-2 Win Over Wicker Park
The Motown Hitmakers did just enough to sneak past the Wicker Park Devil Cats, 3-2, at The Upper Deck. Motown pitcher Woodrow Preston, in particular, had a standout performance. The win belonged to Fred Hinegarden in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jim Smart took the loss for Wicker Park. Wicker Park now has a record of 0-4.

Motown got a knockout punch from Jonah Wood. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
