Red Birds Get Extra-Inning, 5-4 Win
The Columbus Red Birds faced a tough opponent in Ypsi pitcher Sean Bigelow, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ricardo Lopez Field by a final score of 5-4. Bigelow went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Columbus reliever Raúl Fabián picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Carlos García was saddled with the loss. The Red Birds, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.

The Red Birds got a clutch hit from second baseman Ethan McFarland. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Red Birds.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said McFarland.
