The Motown Hitmakers coasted to a win over the Grand Rapids Growlers, 18-2. Toyoharu Yamauchi had a good day at the plate for Motown. He was 4 for 5 with a triple and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 7. Woodrow Preston was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Lucas Parsons. The win has Motown at 2-3.

With Motown leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Yamauchi hit a fastball from Lucas Parsons for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Hitmakers ahead, 3-0.

"That was brutal," said losing manager Kaleb Bradley.
