Tsuruta Hits 3 home runs in Mud Hens Win
The Great Black Swamp Mud Hens beat the Newcastle House of Brews, 5-3, at Brewhouse. The Mud Hens got a fine performance from first baseman Sozui Tsuruta, who belted 3 home runs. Great Black Swamp pitcher David Nicholas got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan Maldonado got the loss. Bobby Smith finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

Bill Helms helped out the Great Black Swamp cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with a double.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Great Black Swamp manager Casimir Koralewski.

At 3-0, the Mud Hens have played well so far.
