Ypsi second baseman Joel Milman was sensational. He went 1 for 1 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Newcastle beat the Yard Cats, 7-6. Ypsi falls to 1-1.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Sherman Spivey? The Newcastle third baseman had a 2-run single in the top of the 20th inning to put the House of Brews on top, 7-5. For the game, Spivey had 1 double and 1 single in 8 at-bats.

"It was a solid team effort," said Spivey after the game.
