Herrera Goes 5-for-5 Against Cincinnati (DSL) Monday, June 14th , 2027 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Lorenzo Herrera of the Arizona (DSL) Diamondbacks Red. Herrera went on a tear at Baseball City Complex and cracked hit after hit off Cincinnati (DSL) pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 18-year-old shortstop had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Despite Herrera's personal accolades, the Cincinnati (DSL) Rojos walked off the field with the 6-5 win. Lorenzo Herrera hit a solo-shot off Ivan Reyes in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th. |
