Miami starter Nestor Cortes pitched well against the Minnesota Twins at LoanDepot Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 7-1. Lance McCullers Jr. earned his 3rd save in 4 chances. The Marlins improved their record to 50-63 by beating Minnesota.

Miami took a 7-1 lead on Agustin Ramirez's 14th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Ramirez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Minnesota pitcher Kody Funderburk visibly frustrated.
