Angels 6-2 Victors Over Washington
|
Anaheim pitcher Josh Winckowski did his part in helping his team defeat the Washington Nationals, 6-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The win for the Angels raised their record to 81-74.
Joc Pederson had a big 3-run home run for the Angels in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Anaheim leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Ryan Feltner and swatted a home run to right. It was his 30th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Angels ahead, 5-0.
Pederson attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
