Wolves Take Title
With a 7-2 win over the Ponce Pirates tonight at Battleaxes Ballpark, the Warren South Wolves wrapped up their 5th title in team history.

Warren South left little doubt who was the better club. "Team" was the word of the day as the Wolves celebrated the culmination of their banner year in the victors clubhouse following the game.

"Hitting, pitching, fielding; those are all things you need to win, but most importantly you need a team, a team that works together toward the same collective goal," said Warren South manager . "Our players felt that way all year and they played that way. When one guy had an off day, 24 others stepped up their game and filled the void."

A jovial mood filled the air as Warren South celebrated into the night. The city's mayor said parade plans were underway and a "huge celebration" in the works.

"We're going to celebrate our team, our championship Warren South Wolves," the mayor said.

The champions completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the Sub League 2 Western Division and a 29-11 record.
