The Durham Peacocks manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Camden Apaches. The Peacocks were overpowered by Camden starter Armando Trevino, who hurled his club to victory, 3-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," said.
Over 9 innings, Trevino blanked Durham on 7 hits with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Trevino said.
"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
This season, Trevino has rung up 6 wins and 5 losses in 14 games. He has an ERA of 3.69 and has fanned 92 batters in 97.2 innings.
