Sánchez Hits 2 home runs in Maple Leafs Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Blizzard.

The Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Buffalo Blizzard, 10-4, at The Ballyard. Toronto shortstop Ed Sánchez had an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Maple Leafs now own a record of 75-59.

Toronto used the hitting of Clint Pugh to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Maple Leafs on top, 3-0. For the game, Pugh had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Toronto manager Mark Sambor. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
