Honu second baseman Francisco Rivas left his mark on his team's 7-3 win over the Mexico City Toros Bravos. Rivas, who is a two-time Gold Glove winner, went 2-4 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for North Shore in the contest. North Shore reliever Scott Floyd was the winner. His record is now 4-5. Júlio Bueno took the loss. North Shore is now 68-48, while Mexico City is 64-52.

Had Shigochiyo Yamaha not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Yamaha hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Honu.
