Barberini Bashes 5 Base Hits Tuesday, August 16th , 2039 It was a parade of hits for Justin Barberini of the Chicago N (DSL) Cubs 2 at Baseball City Complex. Connecting with regularity, Barberini finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but the Reds rose to the occasion and rained on his parade by winning the game, 12-11. "Barberini was really good, we were just a little better," said Reds manager in the postgame interview. "It's all right with me if he gets 5 hits every game against us, as long as we win." Justin Barberini hit a solo-shot off Nick Williams in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Currently Barberini is batting .483 with 14 home runs and 83 RBIs. |
