Svensson Throws 5-0 Shutout Thursday, July 23rd , 2037 Chris Svensson handcuffed the Houston (DSL) Astros at El Toro Complex, coming away with a 4-hit, complete game shutout. "I had everything working for me out there," the Boston (DSL) Red Sox 1 right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted." With his stuff working, Svensson had little trouble with the Astros and led the Red Sox 1 to victory, 5-0. He recorded 8 strikeouts and no walks in an impressive performance. For the season, Svensson is hitting .252, batted in 17 runs with 2 home runs and 14 runs scored. |
