Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Thursday, August 12th , 2038 After an intense confrontation, both the Royals 2 Chris Munroe and the Giants 2 Jim Unknown were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Kansas City (DSL)-San Francisco (DSL) game. Chris Munroe will miss 5 games, while Jim Unknown was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Chris Munroe commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." To date Munroe has chalked up a .184 average with 2 home runs, driven in 9 runs and scored 9 times. |
