Best WL Reliever Named Wednesday, October 22nd , 2036 Eskinder Balozi was a calming influence out of the Sasolburg Swamp Dogs bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 21-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Western League Reliever of the Year for 2036. The Pretoria, South Africa native won the award with 39 saves in 62 relief appearances, 37 strikeouts in 70 innings and a record of 4-6 to go with his 1.54 ERA. He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Mutesa Sadiki of the Potgietersrus Drifters finished second in voting, while Daryl Brown of the Bethlehem Knighthawks finished third.
