Philadelphia W (GCL) Halts Gutierres's Hitting Steak Friday, August 3rd , 2040 Jose Gutierres's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 21 games, as the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays dropped their contest with the Philadelphia W (GCL) Phillies West, 7-6, at Field of the Pipeliners. Gutierres failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-3. After the game Gutierres spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said.
