Columbia Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Sunday, August 21st , 2039 The Columbia Fireflies will have to play out the season without even the faintest glimmer of hope for a late-season playoff push. The club was mathematically eliminated today from postseason contention. Before this season, the Fireflies had made the playoffs 3 times in a row. In the 19 years they have been a Low-A East franchise, they have made the playoffs 14 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Fireflies have only missed the playoffs once. Columbia last won the Round 2 in 2036. |
