Pogue Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Saturday, August 15th , 2037 Steve Pogue of the Columbia Fireflies extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with 1 hit in today's 1-0 triumph over the Fredericksburg Nationals at New Fredericksburg Ballpark. "Steve has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Fireflies manager joked after the game. Steve Pogue hit a solo-shot off Joe Spitler in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and struck out in the 8th. This season, Pogue is swinging the bat at a .301 pace.
