Landivar Goes 5-for-5 Against Columbia Sunday, June 20th , 2038 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. David Landivar of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 9-2 win over the Columbia Fireflies at Atrium Health Ballpark. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 22-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." David Landivar singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 7th. This year, Landivar is hitting .295 with 2 home runs. |
