Reynolds Hit Streak Reaches 35 Games Sunday, August 30th , 2037 Billy Reynolds's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 35 games. The Rome second baseman smacked 2 hits against the Aberdeen Ironbirds in today's game at State Mutual Stadium, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Braves drop the game, 2-0. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Billy Reynolds struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and singled in the 8th. In his season totals Reynolds has 6 home runs and a .314 batting average. |
