Bob Dugdale Strokes 3 Home Runs Thursday, July 29th , 2038 It was a good day for the Hickory Crawdads and an exceptional one for Bob Dugdale. The 22-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Crawdads beat the Winston-Salem Dash, 11-7, at L.P. Frans Stadium. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Dugdale said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 3 hits in 5 at-bats. Bob Dugdale hit a solo-shot off Josh Alford in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Mario Aguilera in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Joey Wileman in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. This season, Dugdale has 21 home runs and a .372 batting average. |
