Murray Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Friday, August 21st , 2037 With 2 hits at ONEOK Field, Jake Murray added another game to his hitting streak -- the Amarillo first baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Sod Poodles, as they fell, 16-2, to the Tulsa Drillers. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Tulsa manager said later. "I'll let him get 3 hits in 3 at-bats if it means we get a win." Jake Murray grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th and singled in the 6th. Currently Murray is batting .365 with 24 home runs and 94 RBIs. |
