Rodriguez Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Saturday, August 15th , 2037 The hot bat of Sod Poodles first baseman Willie Rodriguez continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 3-for-4 in today's 12-2 loss to the RockHounds at Hodgetown. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Willie Rodriguez struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tavan Waybright in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season, Rodriguez has 13 home runs and a .392 batting average. |
