Wilde Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Saturday, July 25th , 2037 Mike Wilde's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Frisco third baseman smacked 1 hit against the Midland RockHounds in today's game at Dr. Pepper Ballpark, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the RoughRiders drop the game, 11-4. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Mike Wilde was hit by a pitch in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Wilde is currently hitting at a .309 pace with 7 home runs and 46 RBIs. |
