Round 1 Goes the Distance, Tulsa Prevails Tuesday, September 22nd , 2037 The sweet swing of Bob Applebaum has led his team through the Round 1. The Tulsa Drillers star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Northwest Arkansas Naturals to advance to the Round 2. The Drillers won the final game at Arvest Ballpark by a score of 9-7 and the series 3-2. "I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Applebaum. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs." For the series, Applebaum hit .400 with a .429 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Tulsa Drillers will play against the Corpus Christi Hooks in the next round. Corpus Christi won their series against the Midland RockHounds 3 games to 2.
