Metz and Maher Brawl, League Suspends Them Tuesday, July 7th , 2037 After an intense confrontation, both the Barons Benny Metz and the Lookouts Phil Maher were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Birmingham-Chattanooga game. Benny Metz will miss 4 games, while Phil Maher was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Benny Metz commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." For the season, Metz is hitting at a .236 clip with 3 home runs, 24 RBIs and has scored 42 runs.
