Ruiz, Ramirez Suspended for Fracas Friday, May 8th , 2037 Alfredo Ruiz of Mississippi and Jose Ramirez of Birmingham were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Ruiz will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Ramirez was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. Thus far this year, Ruiz is hitting .289 with 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and 11 runs scored. In 5 starts this year, Ramirez has recorded a 2-2 record and a 5.40 ERA. |
