Celestial Slaps 5 Hits Wednesday, July 22nd , 2037 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Richmond's 15-1 win over Altoona, shortstop Danny Celestial was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at People's Natural Gas Field. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Celestial said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Danny Celestial singled in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the season, Celestial is hitting at a .336 clip with 1 home run, 17 RBIs and has scored 13 runs. He has 39 hits, 6 walks and a .374 on-base percentage. |
