WildCard Goes the Distance, Portland Prevails Saturday, October 11th , 2036 The Portland Loggers were paced by a strong offensive output from Estaçio Lancha as they downed the Tampa Bay Rays 2-1 to win the WildCard. Portland won the final game by a score of 8-2 at Tropicana Field to send themselves off to the Division Series. "I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said right fielder Lancha, who was named MVP. For the series, the MVP hit .286 with a .286 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Portland Loggers will play against the Minnesota Twins in the next round.
