Cleveland-Portland Brawl, Holland and Cruz Suspended Saturday, August 2nd , 2036 Joey Holland of the Cleveland Guardians and Cristopher Cruz of the Portland Loggers will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 3 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Guardians-Loggers game at Columbia Sportswear Stadium. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Holland and Cruz will begin serving them soon. To date, Holland has collected 96 hits for a .286 average. He has posted 8 home runs, scored 44 runs and driven in 44 runs. This year, Cruz has registered 9 wins and 6 losses in 21 starts with a 4.32 ERA while registering 126 strikeouts and 39 walks in 114.2 innings. |
