Postseason Bid Ends for Minnesota
Thursday, October 1st , 2037
A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Minnesota Twins. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention.
"There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Twins manager Don R. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title."
Before this season, the Twins last missed the playoffs in 2034. In the 167 years they have been a Major League Baseball franchise, they have made the playoffs 21 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Twins have missed the playoffs 6 times. Minnesota last won the World Series in 1991.
