Rangers Win Round 1 Tuesday, August 25th , 2037 The Texas (AZL) Rangers and San Diego (AZL) Padres 1 put on a classic Round 1 that was in question until the final game. In the end, Texas (AZL) won the deciding contest by a score of 9-5, to take the series 2-1. "It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Phil Tucker, who earned series MVP honors for Texas (AZL). "Our guys are breathing a little easier now." For the series, Tucker hit .462 with a .467 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Texas (AZL) Rangers will play against the Atlanta (AZL) Braves Red in the next round. Atlanta (AZL) won their series against the Cincinnati (AZL) Reds 2 games to 1.
