25-Game Hitting Streak for Holm Monday, August 10th , 2037 Charlie Holm continued his streak at Peoria Sports Complex, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Los Angeles N (AZL) first baseman was 1-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Dodgers were not as fortunate, losing, 2-1, to the San Diego (AZL) Padres 1. "Holm was hitting everything we threw at him," said San Diego (AZL) manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Charlie Holm hit an RBI double in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, struck out in the 8th and struck out in the 10th. So far this season, Holm has recorded a .337 batting average with 58 hits, 11 home runs, 38 RBIs, 34 runs scored and a .410 OBP. |
