White Sox Win, 4-3, at Portland
|
Portland got a terrific game from first baseman Octávio Baeta. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Chicago, 4-3. Baeta went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Chicago reliever Ian Ritchie snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Chris Ennis shouldered the loss. The Loggers, now 6-17, continue their slow start.
Tony Moreno drew 1 walk against the Loggers. In the top of the first inning, he reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run, putting Chicago in front, 1-0.
Chicago manager White Sox Manager commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
