Late Offense Lifts Portland to 6-2 Victory
The Loggers grabbed a win, 6-2, at Globe Life Field, overcoming a fine effort from Texas pitcher Bobby Engstrom. Engstrom went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Portland reliever Tim Dukes was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-0. Chris Simington took the loss for Texas. With the win, Portland boosts its record to 9-10.

Portland used the timely hitting of Chris Seagrave to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Loggers on top, 6-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Seagrave told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
