Loggers Come Up Short at Texas, 2-1
|
Greg Boyle imposed his will on the Loggers from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 Texas triumph. Chris Simington closed it out for Texas, earning his 6th save. The Loggers, now 5-12, continue their poor start.
Texas took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Danny McCracken hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Rangers.
McCracken called the win "a collective effort."
