Both teams had their chances, but the Texas Rangers eventually prevailed.
The Texas Rangers earned a close win over the Milwaukee Brewers, thanks in part to Kevin Jackson. The Texas right-hander, who finished 5th in the AL in strikeouts with 219 last year, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The Brewers drop to 4-8, as their stumbling start to the 2037 season continues.
Eddie Valdes chipped in a solo home run for Texas in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
