The Texas Rangers defeated the Cleveland Guardians, 6-3, at Globe Life Field. Leading the charge for Texas was right fielder Jimmy Albitz. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Chris Simington closed it out for his 3rd save. With the loss, Cleveland is 1-4.

Albitz had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 slider from Josh Campe, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Rangers a 6-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Albitz.

In postgame comments to the Texas Observer, Albitz said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
