Behind a fine performance from Nate Micari, the Houston Astros knocked off the Seattle Mariners, 7-5. Micari was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Astros. Houston reliever Tim Healy picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bobby Norman absorbed the loss. Steve Walzel picked up his 2nd save of the season.
Edwin Saucedo swatted a 2-run double for Houston in the bottom of the sixth. The second baseman went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Micari told the Houston Daily.
The loss drops Seattle to 1-3.
