Cardinals Handle Milwaukee, Snag 3-2 Win
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers.
St. Louis right-hander Robby Rosado helped his team edge Milwaukee by the score of 3-2. Rosado kept the opposing lineup in check. St. Louis pitcher Bobby Reid earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Oscar Lange suffered the loss. Earning his 2nd save for St. Louis was Dan Willis.
Jose Natal, who finished 3rd in the NL in wins above replacement with 6.8 in 2034, aided the St. Louis cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder went 1-3 with a double.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said St. Louis manager Shawn Sturgess.
The Cardinals, now 2-0, have played some good baseball in the early going.
