Nationals Suffer 2-0 Loss to Braves
|
The Atlanta Braves topped the Washington Nationals, 2-0, in National League action at Truist Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Atlanta pitcher Peter Heubeck. Heubeck, now 10-15, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 10, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Adrian Siravo converted his 12th save in 15 tries.
The Braves got a lift from first baseman Ketel Marte, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Braves on top, 2-0.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Nationals Manager. "That was the problem."
Atlanta now has a 3-game win streak.
